Private jet of Motley Crue’s Vince Neil involved in deadly plane crash

The incident happened on the ground and the singer was not on board

The private jet of heavy metal band Motley Crue’s frontman Vince Neil has been involved in a plane crash, leaving one person dead.

The incident happened at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday evening and the singer was not on board at the time.

The collision happened as the plane was landing from Austin, Texas, when the landing gear failed causing the plane to veer off the runway and into a parked Gulfstream 200 business jet.

The pilot of the aircraft has been killed, and Neil’s girlfriend Rain Andreani and her friend suffered injuries not thought to be life-threatening.

They were taken to hospital with the jet’s co-pilot, who also suffered injuries.

Motley Crue said in a statement: “While details are still emerging, our hearts go out to the families of both the pilot who lost his life and the passengers who suffered injuries

“Motley Crue will announce a way to help support the family of the deceased pilot – stand by for an announcement very soon”.

Rain Andreani broke five ribs in the crash and the dogs the women were travelling with survived, TMZ reports.

Neil was the front mand between 1981 and 1992 and then returned in 1996 up until 2015.

He one again fronted the band from their 2018 reunion onwards.
