Sad reality of how much money most OnlyFans creators REALLY make

With social media stars like Sophie Rain and Bhad Bhabie earning tens of millions of dollars on OnlyFans, some may see the subscription-based site as a way to make easy money.

But the reality of OnlyFans is far different, with the vast majority of creators earning pennies on the popular platform.

According to Variety, the average creator earns just $1,300 a year – or $108 a month.

One creator, who was ranked in the top 71 percentile of all creators on the app, had just two active subscribers, reports Range Media

Most of the money goes to creators in the top 1 percent, who earn roughly $49,000 annually.

The big money goes to those in the 0.1 percent, who earn around 15 times the amount of the average creator in the top 1 percent, according to Matthew Ball

This means that the majority of the big earners on the site are celebrities and social media stars.

Influencer Sophie Rain recently claimed that she made $43 million in her first year on OnlyFans, making her one of the biggest money makers in the site’s history.

Other top creators include YouTuber Corinna Kopf, who earned $67 million in roughly three years before ‘retiring’ from OnlyFans last October

Countless celebrities have raked in millions from the site, including Denise Richards, Iggy Azalea, Jem Wolfie, and Larsa Pippen.

Last year, the CEO of OnlyFans revealed that the company has paid out $20 billion to its creators since its inception in 2016.

CEO Keily Blair was speaking at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles when she revealed the incredible figure.

‘Porn is free on the internet. think the reason why people pay for OnlyFans is because they want to engage with those particular creators,’ Blair said.

‘It’s because of the ability to customize as well as to ask for a specific content.’

She continued, ‘Everyone assumes it’s sexy content. Some of it sexy content and we’re very happy with that, we’re an inclusive platform, and we’re that way for a reason.

‘We believe it’s very important for adult content creators to have a safe space, to be able to monetize and also to be able to do that alongside other content creators.

‘We’re all adults, we’re all grownups, we can all choose what content we subscribe to.’

According to a regulatory filing seen by Variety, the site had reported record revenue and profits for its 2023 fiscal year.

Payments made through the online platform had jumped 19 percent from $5.55 billion in 2022 to $6.63 billion last year.

The number of registered users on the site also increased 28 percent in the fiscal year to a total of $305 million.

Blair commented on these figures during the conference, saying: ‘Yeah, it was a good year,’ adding that the company does not have plans for a public offering.
