Concerns over Donald Trump’s health have resurfaced after new dark marks appeared on his right hand — just days after the White House dismissed speculation about a large bruise spotted earlier.

Social media users first noticed a yellow bruise on the back of Trump’s right hand when he met French President Emmanuel Macron on February 24.
The sight prompted widespread discussion, with many questioning whether the 78-year-old had undergone a medical procedure, such as an IV drip or blood test.

However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt quickly downplayed the concerns, attributing the marks to Trump’s “unwavering commitment” to meeting and shaking hands with Americans.
“President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day,” Leavitt stated at the time. “President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history.”
More Mystery Marks Appear
Now, fresh speculation has erupted after two additional marks were seen on Trump’s right palm during a White House press conference on March 3.
While announcing a $100 billion investment in the US from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Trump’s expressive hand gestures inadvertently revealed the new dark markings.

Observers noted that one of the marks appeared above the heart line in his palm, while another was located below the head line.
Meanwhile, the original yellow bruise on the back of his hand was still visible.

Public Speculation and Previous Cases
The sudden appearance of multiple hand marks has led to a mix of theories. Some social media users insist they resemble IV bruises or signs of blood testing, while others argue they are simply the result of aging and minor injuries.
“Why even lie? It’s obviously an IV bruise for blood testing or something,” one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), with others agreeing, noting that older individuals bruise easily — especially if taking blood thinners.
Another wrote: “Looks more like a bruise from a blood draw in the hand or an IV. I’ve had plenty of bruises like that because of an IV in the hand when my other veins had collapsed and they had to keep moving the IV. The lies he and his people tell are ridiculous!”

A third tweeted: “It looks like he touched something hot – like a pan and moved his hand rapidly, hit something and bruised it.”
“Anyone who gets routine bloodwork can have a bruise on his hand – says nurse who has drawn a lot of blood,” someone else added.
Still, some remain unconvinced that the marks signal a health concern. Trump’s vigorous handshake technique has been well documented over the years, with the Washington Post once describing his handshakes as “intense” and “forceful”.
Given his reputation for firm grips, some believe the marks are simply a result of enthusiastic greetings with world leaders and officials recently.
